How to create and check a readable QR code

Encode text or direct links and verify contrast, margin and destination before sharing the code.

Contents are stored inside the code

For a link, enter the full URL including https://. Bivonio encodes it directly without adding an intermediate redirect service.

A printed code cannot be edited. If contents change, generate another code unless you separately control a redirect at its destination address.

Contrast, margin and dimensions

The generator uses black on white with a clear surrounding margin. Do not crop that margin or place the code over an image that makes its modules difficult to distinguish.

More content produces a denser pattern. Choose sufficient dimensions and preserve proportions; enlarging a small bitmap afterward may blur edges. SVG is useful for scaling without losing sharpness.

  1. Paste text or a complete URL and check its spelling.
  2. Choose dimensions and PNG or SVG format.
  3. Generate and download the code.
  4. Scan with another device and verify the displayed contents or destination.

Check the final version too

For print or a poster, test the final specimen at the intended distance and lighting. A generator-screen test does not validate every later print.

The URL may reveal its contents to anyone who scans. QR codes do not encrypt information or guarantee external links are safe; check the destination before opening it.
